Natural Remedies for RLS
People who suffer from Restless Leg Syndrome or RLS have sought to find natural cures for it but it has left them frustrated. Itching, crawling, burning, tingling, and other sensations are felt in the legs by people suffering from restless leg syndrome. These symptoms are quite annoying when experienced during the day, but experiencing them at night can be distressing. The reason is because the feelings or the symptoms are intensified the moment you relax to go to sleep. Fatigue is caused by lack of sleep and this is what people with RLS experience. Consulting a doctor for the right iron supplement is best so that you do not take it in excess and suffer from side effects.
Some studies have also linked RLS to obesity. If there is great abdominal fat, it is said to increase the risk of RLS. This means that dieting and exercise to lost weight can improve or cure RLS.
Exercise can be a form of therapy for people with RLS. If you want to lower your symptoms of RLS take time to do some brisk walking, ideally 30 minutes a day for four days. It has been recommended that moderate exercise be done early in the day. Another form of physical exercise which is very helpful is yoga. Giving your lower legs and lower back before going to sleep can help relieve RLS symptoms too.
It is also helpful to take a walk before bedtime.
